The School has students enrolled from LKG to std-XII. The medium of instruction is English. Malayalam & Hindi are compulsory languages for std- I to std VIII. In X and XII all the students prepare for the AISSE & AISSCE (CBSE Board examination) respectively.

SCHOOL FEES

Twelve months tuition fees are remitted as indicated below. The fees shall be paid in lump sum in the first quarter itself or in four quarterly installments.

SCHOOL HOURS

The School follows a Five day working pattern. The time schedule is from 8.40 am to 3.00 pm. Special class for STD X and XII Morning : 8.10 – 8.40 & Evening: 3.10 – 3.40.

OFFICE HOURS – 8.30AM – 4.00 PM

The office functions from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm. The Office shall remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and the days that are declared by the school from time to time. The School office shall remain closed during Onam and Christmas Vacations.

VISITING TIME

Parents can meet the Principal during office hours and members of the staff on any working day after 3.00 pm (after the prior permission from the Principal).

General Rules & Regulations

Whenever individuals live together discipline is necessary and this is especially true of an educational institution. This discipline is formative not repressive it helps the students to develop self control, which is the essence for a well-ordered and successful life. Therefore the school requires from its students to conform to certain regulations aimed at the growth of the entire school and more so at the individual students.

  • Every student should carry the school diary with him/her daily.
  • Prescribed school uniform is compulsory for the entry of all students to the school premises on all working days. However they can put on colour dress on their birthdays.
  • Proper care should be taken to the school property and pupil should not scratch or spoil desks or chair or damage any school furniture. Write or draw anything on the wall or in any way damage things belong to others is punishable. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who has done it. Anyone who sees something damaged should report the matter to the principal even if he/she does not know who has done it. No pupil should bring razor, blades or any sharp instrument to school.
  • No child is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission granted by the Principal and that too at the written request of the parent.
  • It is compulsory for all the students to speak in English within the school campus.
  • The school commences at 8.40 am on all working days and all students should be regular and punctual.No student can leave the school during the school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • Pupils who do not have 85% of attendance will not be permitted to appear for the annual examination.
  • Parents are requested to check the diaries of the children daily and ensure that instructions are being followed by their children properly.
  • Cleanliness in person and clothes is expected from every student. The entry of students to school with untidy dress, hair etc. is prohibited.
  • Students suffering from any contagious or infectious diseases will not be allowed to attend the school.
  • Habitual negligence of school work, dishonesty or other acts of misconduct on the part of the students will attract severe disciplinary action including expulsion.
  • Students should give ample care to their books and belongings.
  • Any kind of damage done to the school property will have to be made good.
  • The school premises should be kept neat and tidy.
  • Costly and fancy ornaments/items should not be worn/brought .Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones or any electronic gadgets inside the school premises.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet the teachers during the class time.Parents are allowed to meet the teachers by prior appointment through the Principal. Parents can meet the Principal between 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on all working days.
  • Promotion of students to the higher classes is based on the total performance in various tests and examination taken as a whole.
  • Every student must take part in school activities unless rendered medically unfit or exempted by the Principal.
  • Students should behave in a refined manner. Where ever they go they should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should always greet the teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant and audible tone of voice whenever they meet them in the school or outside.
  • Use of Pan-Masala, Chewing-Gum, tattooing etc., are STRICTLY PROHIBITED
  • Mobile phone, CD, IPod, Tab etc., is not permitted in the school. If any of them is found with pupil it will be confiscated.
  • On admission ,the admission fee ,special fee ,tuition fee for the term should be paid. The fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Term fees should be remitted on or before the stipulated days or the pupil will not be allowed to write terminal examinations.
  • The school is not responsible for articles or money lost. It is not advisable to wear any kind of valuable ornaments except simple studs for girls. Pupils below class V should not wear wrist watches in the school.
  • Boys are not permitted to wear low waist pants. Boys should trim their hair short.Growing beard/mustacheis also forbidden.It is mandatory that all boys should wear white vests.

UNIFORM

Full School Uniform is compulsory for all students. However they can put on colour dress on their birthdays. Those who take part in sports and games must wear sports uniform.

EXAMINATION

  • The school conducts examinations, which consists of two main examinations and internal assessment tests as prescribed by the CBSE during the academic year.
  • Pupils absent from an examination due to illness will have to produce doctor's certificate.
  • Deliberate violation of any of the regulations of the conduct of examinations is punishable with expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the paper.
  • Students are strictly forbidden from borrowing implements from other students in the examination hall.
  • Copying, consulting and carrying answers slips to the examination hall will be liable to punishment such as detention in the same class etc.
  • Applications for the verification of marks may be considered in special cases at the discretion of the Principal.
  • The years work will be taken into account for Moral Science, GK, Computer, Drawing, Music, Dance and Physical Education.
  • Eligibility:
    No student is generally eligible to appear at the second terminal examination unless he has put in at least 75% of the actual working days in a session as per the school calendar.
    In genuine cases the principal may, however condone the shortage in attendance not exceeding 10% of the actual working days of a sessio
  • Promotion to higher class depends
    1. Regularity in attendance.
    2. Regularity and quality of day-to -day participation in the class activities
    3. Opinion of teachers concerned
    4. Written work and project assigned by the subject teachers (sessional marks are based on grades and 40% weightages)
    5. Internal or sessional marks in each subject.
  • Results declared at the end of the academic year.
  • Suitable changes in the mode and pattern of examination will be made when found necessary, such changes will be intimated to the students in advance.

To avoid unhealthy competition among student and parents, the grading pattern is introduced instead of ranking system. The following criteria will be observed for a 9 point scale gradation in scholastic areas and five point scale gradation in co-scholastic areas:
